What even is the point?

Considering how the world is rolling right now, it got me thinking, does it really make a difference if I read that extra chapter in the reference book, let alone spend my life studying these at all? Or should I just give it all up and just have the time of my life?

You see, we easily get caught up in the chaos that we live in. Amidst all the fanfare and the rush, there is this really tiny being that is you (You might be over 6 foot but hey, you know how big the universe is right?). For you, you are at the center of the universe. Every little thing that happens around you makes at least a minuscule effect on you. But if you’ve really done all the inner work, some things might just brush off like specks of dust, and you can consider yourself lucky.

Now, let’s connect the dots, a tiny human considering what difference his actions are making. Here’s the important part;it’s not always the BIG things that make a difference. Just because you didn’t make your bed in the morning, doesn’t mean you won’t be able to land your dream job. Just because you skipped your group study session to watch a movie, doesn’t mean you’ll flunk your math exam. But it’s always about what needs to be done at THAT moment.

The key is to listen to yourself. If you listen close enough, your inner self is always talking to you. We are so used to ignoring this voice that we almost never remember that it exists. It has grown through all your life experiences, hence it knows yourself better that anybody else. One thing to keep in mind is not to hand over the reins to our voice alone. Like every knowledge base, this voice can too be wrong at times. Whenever you are in doubt, let common sense come to the rescue.

So next time, if you ever wonder if what you are doing has meaning, let your intuition speak. Just make sure to carry your brain around with you. You might always need that extra push to really get to the place you need to be. Nobody has life sorted out all the time, but it’s always about how strong your reflexes are. So don’t think too much, just keep going, and even one step forward counts. If life strikes, just trust in yourself to get back up again and keep going.
